The Max Planck Institute for Tax Law and Public Finance is pleased to announce the seventh annual conference on "Contests: Theory and Evidence". The conference will be held on Thursday 12 August and Friday 13 August 2021, at the historical Harnack House of the Max-Planck-Society in Berlin, Germany.

We hope that a format will be possible in which at least some of the participants will physically come to Berlin, but we are also preparing technically so that virtual participation will allow intellectual interaction between the participants.
We invite theoretical, experimental, and empirical work on any aspect of conflict/contests. This includes work from disciplines other than economics, including psychology, management, sports, biology, computer science etc.
Please submit your paper, or an extended abstract (two pages) along with a short abstract of no more than 50 words to https://events.tax.mpg.de/event/5/ by 10 May 2021.
