Two Nominations for the Frans Vanistendael Award 2017

Dr. Angelika Meindl-Ringler and  Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Wolfgang Schön have been nominated for the Frans Vanistendael Award for International Tax Law 2017.


The International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation IBFD, that annually awards an excellent publication in International Tax Law, shortlisted Dr. Angelika Meindl-Ringler with her dissertation on „Beneficial Ownership in International Tax Law“, written at the Max Planck Institute for Tax Law and Public Finance. It was published in 2016 at Wolters Kluwer in Alphen aan den Rijn.


 

 

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Wolfgang Schön, Director at the MPI for Tax Law and Public Finance has been nominated for his publication “Legislation and the Notion of Fiscal Aid: A Review of 5 Years of European Jurisprudence”. The article was published in “State Aid Law and Business Taxation”, the sixth volume of the series “MPI Studies in Tax Law and Public Finance”.

 

 

 

The IBFD introduced the Frans Vanistendael Award in 2015 to promote outstanding scientific research on international tax law. It is named after its previous Academic Chairman, Prof. Dr. Frans Vanistendael.

The International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD) is an independent, non-profit foundation with the goal to promote and disseminate the understanding of cross-border taxation. Established in 1938 and based in Amsterdam, IBFD has a long-standing history of supporting and contributing to tax research and academic activities.
