Honary doctorate for Birke Häcker
Our former Senior Research Fellow, Professor Dr Birke Häcker, has been awarded an honorary doctorate at the Faculty of Law at Stockholm University.
The degree ceremony was held on September 29, 2023 at Stockholm City Hall. In her role as Director of the Institute of European and Comparative Law (IECL) at Oxford University Birke Häcker has been instrumental in deepening and broadening cooperation between the Oxford and Stockholm law faculties.
Since 2023 Birke Häcker has held the Schlegel Chair in Civil Law, Common Law and Comparative Law at the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the University of Bonn. Her research focuses on German, English and European private law, comparative law and legal history.
