In addition to topics directly related to fusion research and plasma physics, the IPP colloquium, which takes place alternately in Garching and Greifswald, also deals with questions of energy supply and general physics.

The lecture series is aimed at IPP employees and neighbouring institutes such as the MPIs for Extraterrestrial Physics, Astrophysics and Quantum Optics, the European Southern Observatory ESO and the physics faculties of the Technical University and Ludwig Maximilian University.
