Further Honours for Jonathan Schindler

Dr Jonathan Schindler has been awarded the Science Prize of the Munich Chamber of Tax Advisors 2022 for his dissertation ‘Money Laundering Legislation and Tax Law’ (Geldwäschegesetzgebung und Steuerrecht).

In his laudatory speech, Günther Helmhagen, Vice President of the Munich Chamber of Tax Advisors, praised the dissertation as a ‘downright monumental work’ that has had considerable impact. The prize was presented at the Chamber’s annual symposium on 21 October 2022 in Munich.

With the award, the chamber honours young academics and outstanding academic achievements that serve to link science and practice in the fields of tax law, business taxation, business administration and business law.

Schindler has already received the Albert Hensel Prize of the Year 2022 for his work, as well as the sponsorship award from the Faculty of Law at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich.
Jonathan Schindler joined the Max Planck Institute for Tax Law and Public Finance in 2012 as a student assistant and completed his doctorate in the Department of Corporate and Tax Law from 2017 to 2020. He then went on to complete his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Munich.
