New to the Institute

This year, our institute has already been able to convince two young scientists, Dr. Tuğçe Nimet Yaşar, and Dr. Fabian Kratzlmeier, to join our Department for Business and Tax Law as Senior Research Fellows.

We are pleased that Dr. Tuğçe Nimet Yaşar is conducting her research on current issues in commercial and corporate law at our institute. Before joining us, she was a fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law. In addition to her research insights, she has teaching experience from outside-the EU as an assistant professor at Yildirim Beyazit University in Ankara. From 2018 to 2023, she taught Commercial and Corporate Law as well as Securities and Insurance Law at various universities in Turkey. She has qualified as a mediator in Turkey and has experience as an arbitrator at Istanbul Arbitration Center.

Dr. Fabian Kratzlmeier's research focuses on German, European, and international corporate law, in particular commercial, corporate, and insolvency law. His dissertation on cross-border corporate restructuring in the European legal framework will be published by Mohr Siebeck in mid-2023. In the summer semester of 2023, Dr. Fabian Kratzlmeier will hold a seminar on current issues and developments in corporate law at the University of Regensburg.
